STRUGGLING WITH SPINE PAIN?

Your spine isn’t just the physical support for your upper body; it’s also the housing for body’s nerve center, the spinal cord. Major nerve roots branch out from the spinal cord to other parts of the body, but they have to make their way through relatively narrow spaces between vertebrae before they can serve these other areas. Even a “minor” spinal misalignment, or an age-related problem such as bulging discs or bone spurs, can pinch off the signals that would normally flow through these nerve roots. (A bulging, collapsed disc can also add stress to the spinal joints, causing pain and inflammation.) The results may include cervical radiculopathy, sciatica, neck pain or back pain.

Traditional spinal decompression surgery tries to remedy these problems by removing bits of the discs or fusing spinal segments together. These invasive surgeries are best left as a final resort. Non-surgical spinal decompression can ease nerve impingement simply by creating more space between the vertebrae. As you lie comfortably on a motorized treatment table, the table gently pulls outward on the spine, drawing discs back into their rightful position and re-hydrating them to help restore normal disc height and joint function. This form of traction is often recommended for herniated discs, bulging discs, spinal stenosis, chronic back or neck pain, and facet syndrome ( spinal joint wear and inflammation).
