WHAT IS MASSAGE THERAPY?
Massage therapy has been around for thousands of years. People use massage for a variety of health-related reasons. Some of them being: pain relief, rehabilitation, to reduce stress and anxiety, for relaxation, and for overall general wellness.
There are many different techniques when it comes to massage therapy. We base our treatment off your personal history, needs, and goals. We want to aid in relaxing the muscle tissue which helps relieve the painful contractions and spasms you may be experiencing.
What Do We Do During Massage Therapy?
In our office, we do different types of massage therapy. Some of them being: active release technique and myofascial/trigger point release therapy. That is breaking down the soft tissue in order to help with mobilization. It breaks up painful adhesions and scar tissue, increases circulation, and eases pain and tension.
